Waterpower Launches Kanturks First Business Breakfast

Kanturk Breakfast Meeting Launched last Thursday 27-04-2017 in Corkerys Bar, Strand Street, Kanturk, Co. Cork. The purpose of this meeting was enable local business to share information and create local connections. The event was a huge success with in excess of 35 attending from local business and organisations from Charleville, Kanturk and Newmarket. The event, initiated and organised by Catherine Ring, kicked off with a welcome note from Joan Kelleher where the importance of exchanging knowledge was highlighted and followed by a local case study from Dan Twomey, Managing Director of Waterpower Engineering who presented an overview of his electricity supply business and upcoming solar projects across the country. As the host organisation for this event he ‘stressed that local exchange and support is integral to the strengthening of local business’

This was followed by an informal meet & greet where attendees were offered the opportunity to mingle and establish links.  According to Catherine Ring, Waterpower ‘the event was a runaway success, we had representatives from a wide variety of sectors all operating in the local area i.e. financial, renewable energy, health & safety, agricultural sales, trade, waste management, legal, Kanturk community council and Kanturk chamber to name a few’. She continued, ‘we hope to create a new model for the business breakfast where different members host the event each month’. Waterpower would like to thank all who came to the event and hope that its success can be repeated in the near future.
